Monmouthshire based racing driver Ashley Davies has put his 2017 Mini SE7EN season firmly back on track, with a fifth and a first place finish in the two races at the recent meeting at Snetterton.

Ashley, whose car is prepared by Abergavenny based race team SMG Motorsport, has previously achieved success in this series by securing first place in the 2016 National Championship.

Reflecting on the weekend, Ashley said, “The first meeting at Castle Combe did not go to plan, so it is nice to get things back on track with a win.

“Sunday’s race was one of the best of my racing career. I would like to thank all of Team SMG’s supporters, and our fantastic sponsors, which include the local companies Select Security, Super Rod, and Westgate VIP, without whom it would not be possible.”

The next meeting in the Mini SE7EN calendar is Donington Park on the weekend of June 3.
