HO HO HO what's going on here?
No your eyes are not deceiving you for Santa Claus, the best known person in Finland, took his annual summer holiday in Wales during June.
Santa, who normally resides at Rovaniemi in Lapland, caused quite a stir as he made his way through Abergavenny town centre before arriving at Llanfoist Wharf to join fellow Finlanders on the last week of their holiday.
Alasdair Kirk -Patrick owner of Brecon Park Boats said, "For the past three years a group of people from Finland have hired a boat or two for their summer vacation and they said that they knew the real Santa Claus and would invite him along the following year.
"I thought they were joking, but true to their word he arrived and jumped aboard the boat called Hobby and took life at a slower pace as they travelled to Brecon and back.
"We were given a five star Santa award for our services, a set of reindeer antlers, as were the publicans of the Coach and Horses at Llangynidr.
"I joined them for part of the journey and it was interesting to see people on the tow path taking a double take at Santa on board."
