As well as the obvious outdoor pursuits, the PR and social media campaign focuses on the spiritual, heritage, cultural and culinary - from the amazing stargazing opportunities afforded by the region’s Dark Skies designation and the soon-to-be completed Abergavenny to Llandeilo cycle route to the Miller’s Experience at Talgarth Mill and the personal knowledge of local ambassadors such as the writer Horatio Clare.
The campaign, which runs until the end of March, is being driven by the trade association, Brecon Beacons Tourism and the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority. It is working closely with tourism businesses in the area, with advice and guidance on sustaining their communications throughout the Year of Adventure and linking with the overall Visit Wales campaign (which is using the hashtags WalesAdventure and FindYourEpic.
* The tourism industry in Wales saw record growth in 2014 and reports from last year are showing further growth.
