WALKERS on the Blorenge had to dodge a twister last week.

One reader, Jeffrey Williams said he could see the funnel cloud forming over the mountain during a heavy storm on Thursday afternoon.

"I used to live in America so I can recognise a twister straight away. I was walking and saw the pattern of it. The whole thing was over in about 10 minutes but I think it's the first one to occur in Abergavenny, we had just the right weather conditions."
