JUDGING by the performances of the youngsters competing in the Friday night races, Abergavenny will continue to provide a fair few names on the cycling scene in years to come.

Children from under eight to 16 joined in the fun to warm-up the track for the elite riders who were due to burn rubber later that evening.

And there were some great performances from the dedicated youngsters.

Rhys Thomas and Rowena Smith, both from Abergavenny RC, were the first winners of the night in the under eights category, with fellow Aber RC riders Eve Higgins-Worrall and Anna Doheny coming in second and third place.

Two more Abergavenny RC youngsters won the boys and girls under ten's classes.
