THE A465 Heads of the Valley Road between Brynmawr and Gilwern has been reduced to single lane trsffic following a road traffic accident involving several cars on the road earlier this evening.

Serious damage was caused to the road and the crash barrier meaning that it is unsafe to re-open the road fully until at least tomorrow (Wednesday) evening.

Long delays are expected and anyone planning to use the road is advised to find an alternative route.

It’s understood the accident took place on the new roundabout near the site of the former Drum and Monkey pub.
