EVER fancied being strapped helplessly to a complete stranger and jumping out of a speeding plane as it soars 12,500 feet above the Gower peninsula.

Gilwern woman Elizabeth Preece did, and all in the name of charity.

Liz and her friends recently participated in a tandem skydive and raised £1,500 for the Joshua Foundation.

What's more, Liz loved every minute of it and told the Chronicle, "I couldn't wait to get up there and had no hesitation about jumping from the plane.

"I would definitely recommend the experience and although we were only free-falling for 15 seconds and parachuting for five minutes, it was an experience that will stay with me for a lifetime."

Liz added, "I would like to thank everyone for their kind sponsorship and donations which helped raise money for a really worthwhile cause."
