THERE will be a public meeting on Monday, February 21 in the mayor's parlour at Abergavenny Town Hall to try and revive the Abergavenny In Bloom committee.

After many years of success, the group folded last year because of a lack of volunteers but garden designer Helen Powell of Llanellen has promised to help revive the interest and has organised the meeting at 7pm.

She said: "The judges in last year's Wales In Bloom competition said community involvement is the key to success so I'm hoping that some people who have the town's interests at heart will come along to the meeting to show their support."
