Police are hunting a man after a teenage girl was approached by a black male in the Abergavenny area yesterday afternoon.

The man is described as black, with short black hair and driving a large black vehicle.

Police said the incident occurred on Hereford Road on Wednesday August 23, at around 1.30pm.

A police spokesperson, said: “We would like to stress that no-one was hurt and this appears to be an isolated incident as there have been no other reports of this nature in the area.

“At this time enquiries are ongoing with the victim and officers would like to reassure the public a full investigation is underway to locate the male.

“There will continue to be an increase in police patrols in the area to reassure residents but we would like to remind the community that incidents of this nature in Abergavenny are rare.”
