Drivers on a key route near Abergavenny have been told to expect disruption, including a full road closure up until December.

Welsh Water will begin upgrading water mains in the vicinity of Llanellen Bridge from Monday September 28 and is expected to last for up to ten weeks. Traffic travelling to and from Abergavenny will have to follow the signposted diversion route.

A full road closure will be enforced along Hardwick Lane (A4042) from next Monday until December 9, with access maintained only for residents and emergency services.

On the junction between Hardwick Lane and Llanellen Bridge, there will be a temporary three-way traffic light system between October 6 and October 23.
