A PLAN to redevelop Abergavenny’s police station and magistrates court will be open for public scrutiny until Friday, December 15.
The public consultation, mandatory under the requirements of the Planning (Wales) Act 2015, will give local residents the opportunity to view and comment on developer, McCarthy and Stone’s aim of converting the buildings into retirement apartments.
McCarthy and Stone’s plans include the development of 47 one and two-bedroom retirement apartments with landscaping and car parking.
An exhibition will be held on Monday, December 4 at Abergavenny Community Centre, Park Street.
Simon Mantell, Regional Managing Director at McCarthy and Stone, said, ‘We want to hear from the local community and our future homeowners before we finalise our plans.
‘We will be displaying our plans and ideas at a public exhibition where our project team will be on hand to answer questions and listen to feedback on what we have done so far’.
