A PICTURE may be worth a thousand words but for those who can sum up the spirit of Christmas in a single photograph it could also be worth a generous gift voucher.

St Mary’s Priory, Abergavenny are seeking entrants for this years photographic competition with prizes offered in three age categories - Up to 11 years; 11 - 18 years and Over 18s.

The challenge is to sum up what Christmas means to you in a single image, whether that be a well-decorated tree, a roaring log fire or something more contemporary like a cityscape ablaze with lights.

Entry forms can be picked up at any of The Priory’s churches or the Tithe Barn; alternatively forms can be downloaded at www.stmarys-priory.org.

Entries will form part of an exhibition to be displayed across the churches and the winner in each category will receive a Shackleton’s voucher.
