PANDY are through to the next round of the P&P Open Cup competition after they took local rivals Llanfoist out of the equation with a 1-5 hammering.
Pandy's strikes came from Gareth Staphnill (2), Steve Wedlock (2), and Gareth Bennett.
David Barry scored the consolation goal for Llanfoist.
In the second-half, Lewis Meadows put Govilon 1-2 in front when he scored in the 55th minute.
Gilwern bounced back with a strike by Adam Carrington in the 75th minute.
Gilwern were then awarded a penalty in the 85th minute following the send off of Govilon's Craig Norman for a second yellow card offence, and Carrington stepped up to the plate and tucked away the resulting penalty to put Gilwern through to the next round 3-2.
The Gilwern keeper was also in excellent form and saved a penalty.
Goytre were on the wrong end of a 7-1 hammering as Trevethin kicked them out of the cup. Daniel Wharton scored Goytre's goal.
Current Division One leaders Clydach Wasps won their cup match 2-3 away to Fairfield Utd at the Ravine Pitch.
Mark Taylor, Scott Ambler, and substitute Tyrone Gravell all scored for the Wasps.
In the Premier Division, high flyers Llanarth maintained their winning ways with a soaring 7-1 home win over local rivals Usk Town.
Luke Williams and Thomas Bodham both scored a brace for Llanarth, and Jamie Edwards, Gavin Phillips and Daniel Wheller all chipped in with one apiece.
George Lloyd scored a consolation goal for Usk Town.
Man of the match for Llanarth was Thomas Bodham. Man of the match for Usk Town was George Lloyd.
In Division One, Mardy gained a victory and three points at home to Sebastopol after winning the match 4-1.
Mardy's goals came via a brace from James Copeland, and solo strikes from Gavin Morris and Tom Copeland.
Man of the match for Mardy was Shane Higginson.
The Abergavenny Thursdays game against the Blaenavon Blues at Pen-y-Pound ended up all square at 1-1.
All the action came in the second-half when Craig Lewis put the Thursdays into a 0-1 lead. Lewis failed to extend the Thursdays lead when he later missed a penalty. Leaving the door open for Blaenavon's Lee Carrick to equalise for the Blues.
Man of the match for the Thursdays was Shane Barry. Man of the match for the Blues was Adam Johnson.
In Division Two, Clydach 'B' visited the 'Island' and beat Usk Town 'B' 2-3.
Clydach established a 0-3 half-time lead through goals by Paul Jarvis, Neil Evans, and Ben Ward.
In the second-half Usk made a spirited comeback. Steve Wade pulled a goal back for the home side and with just five minutes to go, Marc Cordell headed Usk back into contention, but it wasn't enough.
Man of the match for Usk was Martyn Latham. Man of the match for Clydach was Ben Ward.
It was a basement battle between Panteg and Llanarth 'B', with Llanarth coming out on the losing end to the tune of 3-7.
Llanarth's goals came via the boots of man of the match Richard Gibbs and Ali Maidment.
