MATCH of the day in Division One saw current leaders Usk Town visit Lower Meadow and receive a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Pandy.

Kirk Morgan headed Pandy into a 1-0 lead in the 35th minute from a cross into the box by Chris Lambert. Two minutes later, player/manager Leyton Davies put Pandy 2-0 in front with a header from a Shane Barry corner.

David Egerton pulled a goal back for Usk Town in the 85th minute with a shot from 16 yards, but it was too little to late and Pandy won the day.

Man of the match for Pandy was Shane Barry.

Man of the match for Usk Town was Joe Henry.

Although Usk stay top of Division One, Pandy are only trailing by three points and have a game in hand.

Third placed side Llanarth were at home to mid-table visitors Gilwern and District and a goal by Mike Randall in the 12th minute saw first blood go to the visiting team.

Gilwern had Kieran Shevlin sent off in the 43rd minute for stamping on Llanarth's Peter Maddocks.

Llanarth marked his welcome return to the Llanarth fold from injury with two goals scored in the 46th and 48th minute.

With two minutes to go, the ever reliable Adam Carrington scored from a simple tap-in six yards out to give Gilwern a share of the points as the final whistle blew at 2-2.

Llanarth's keeper pulled off a couple of good saves from three on one situations to earn himself the man of the match award.

Gilwern's man of the match was Jason Probert Jones.

Blaenavon Blues maintained their winning ways with a 1-2 away win at Pilcs.

John Radcliffe scored an early goal to put the Blues 0-1 in front, but Pilcs equalised before the stroke of half-time.

In the second-half Pilcs missed a penalty and Damian Heward scored the winner for the Blues.

Man of the match for Blaenavon was John Arthur.

Govilon won their local derby match with Clydach Wasps 2-1. Govilon took a 1-0 half-time lead from a Stuart Norman penalty.

In the 72nd minute, Stuart Norman stepped up and slotted home another penalty, following the red carding of David Bowkett.

The Wasps pulled a goal back late in the game through Evan Hall.

Man of the match for Govilon was Ryan Smith.

Man of the match for Clydach Wasps was Dorian Reames.

Crickhowell lost 1-2 at home to visitors Fairfield United, despite taking the initial lead through a Mike Ling goal.

Man of the match for Crickhowell was Aled Llewellyn.

Prescoed still lead Division Two by 14 points after winning their match against Sebastopol 8-2. Benji Brown bagged four, Luke Mills scored two penalties, and Liam Driscol and Perry Durvwell struck one apiece.
