UPCOMING Pandy footballer Rhys Williams (pictured) is well on the way to achieving his goals after signing for Swansea City football club.
The talented teen is a sports scholar at Monmouth School and is currently in the first year of his GCSE studies.
Over the last few years he has been under the tutelage of Andy Beattie and receives regular training from ex-professional and Welsh international footballer Steve Jenkins. Master in Charge of football coaching at Monmouth School, Mark Tamplin, has been impressed by Rhys' development over the last few years, and said, "Rhys is a real footballer with noticeable talent; his speed, flair and technical ability are all of the highest level and we wish him well in the future."
