THERE is not a lot which can be said about Abergavenny's last game of the season, other than that it ended in defeat and Garndiffaith ran in seven tries before the final curtain fell on Bailey Park and put the claret and ambers out of their misery.

So after a fraught and difficult run of fixtures in Division Three East Aber end the show by notching up their tenth straight league defeat on the bounce.

It makes for grim reading but Aber's last competitive win was recorded way back in January when they beat Blaina 46-3.

Yet in the school of hard knocks, lessons have been learnt, experience has been gained, and wisdom has been earned, so there are many positives Aber can reap from this campaign.

Positives that must be ploughed back into the timeless pursuit for points and promotion when the opportunities of the 2011/12 season come calling on the bright and breezy Autumn winds.
