A new Costa Coffee drive-through has opened at Llanfoist, creating 20 new jobs as part of major development near Abergavenny.

The Westgate site is also home to a 61-bed Premier Inn, and Brewer’s Fayre restaurant, forming part of a £6.4m investment by Whitbread. ??James Crawford, CEO of landowners Johnsey Estates, said, “The opening of Costa Coffee marks the completion of the latest part of our development jigsaw at Westgate.

?“The hotel, restaurant and Costa Coffee Drive Thru are delivering much-needed investment, jobs and new facilities to Abergavenny at this important location on the A465 Heads of the Valleys trunk road.”??Another 100 jobs will be created when a new 70-bed care home opens up on the western edge overlooked by the Blorenge.

Tom Swords, Costa Coffee acquisitions manager, said: “The location for the new drive thru is very prominently positioned on the Heads of the Valleys road, with good access and visibility to traffic in all directions. It also benefits as the main route into Abergavenny for traffic.”
