The use of snares in Wales will be looked at by a National Assembly committee on Wednesday November 30.
The Climate Change, Environment and Rural Affairs Committee will take evidence from organisations including the League Against Cruel Sports, the Countryside Alliance and the British Association of Shooting and Conservation.
The inquiry comes after a petition was referred to the Committee by the Assembly’s Petitions Committee.
The petition called for a ban on the manufacture, sale and use of snares in Wales. It collected around 1,400 signatures.
“This is a focused, one-day inquiry looking at a particular issue which has caused some strong feeling among people in Wales,” said Mark Reckless AM, Chair of the Climate Change, Environment and Rural Affairs Committee.
“We intend to listen carefully to all sides of this issue before considering any conclusions and deciding on our next steps.”
The meeting will take place in Committee Room 3 at the Senedd and starts at 9.40.
Anyone wishing to watch the meeting can either book seats in the public gallery by calling 0300 200 6565, or watch live on Senedd TV.
