Moving tributes have been paid to 26-year-old Adam Millett from Pontypool, who died following a two-vehicle crash near Blaenavon last Friday.
His family, in a joint statement said, “Our Ad, such a wonderful daddy, son, brother, uncle and loved by all his friends and family.
“Our lives will never be the same again. Shine brightly!”
His brother and sister added, “Thanks for being the best brother in the world and my best friend we love you Ad! Keep it pinned!”
Mr Millett was the driver of a silver Renault Megane involved in a crash with an Iveco flatbed lorry on Garn Yr Erw near Blaenavon at 12.15pm.
He was taken by Air Ambulance to the University Hospital Wales, Cardiff but later died.
The lorry driver, a 25-year-old man from the Cardiff area, received minor injuries.
Floral tributes to Mr Millett have been laid at the scene of the accident and dozens of friends and family have posted messages of sympathy and support on social media.
Among the messages Holly Elisabeth Millett wrote, “Thinking of all my family today. RIP to my cousin Adam Millett. I know you will be well looked after up there, fly high.”
Kingsley Gould, who said he had taken flowers to the scene of the crash, wrote, “I looked up to you like a brother and wanted everything you had.
“Like they always say they take the best ones first and that’s true.”
Nathan Nash posted, “It feels like a dream that I was laying flowers for you bro and in the morning I’m going to wake up and it was all a crazy dream.
“I can’t believe what’s happened. I would have never thought this day would come. Sleep tight my old friend.”
Ross Jones wrote, “Such a cruel world we live in. R.I.P my brother. You will be sadly missed. Always thinking of you in my heart.”
