One of the jurors in the trial of Abergavenny multi-millionaire Peter Morgan has been taken ill and the judge Mr Justice Neil Garnham has adjourned proceedings at Newport Crown Court until 11am on Monday.

Morgan is accused of murdering 25-year-old Georgina Symonds, his escort-turned-girlfriend, at one of his properties in Llanmartin in January.

He denies the charge, citing diminished responsibility due to Asperger’s Syndrome, but has admitted her unlawful killing.

The judge had completed his summing up and the jury had retired this morning to consider their verdict.
