STRANGE lights have been spotted over the skies of Monmouthshire yet again.

A resident of Mardy, Abergavenny contacted the Chronicle following the article on September 11 which described readers seeing 'orange balls of light' in the sky.

The reader, who wishes to remain anonymous, said she saw what looked like two "cigarette ends" in the skies over the Bristol Channel at 12.55am about six weeks ago.

She said, "I remember the time because my grandson is staying with me and he was late coming in. I could hear something outside so I got up to look out of the window where in the distance over towards the Channel area there were glowing lights that shot off.

"I can only describe them as being like two glowing cigarette ends that shuddered and then they were gone.

"I didn't know what to do, I was quite frightened. So I phoned the police headquarters because I didn't know what I had seen and they sent someone up straightaway and I explained to him what I saw.

"At the same time my son's laptop went down and so did my grandson's mobile phone.

"I was quiet frightened, I've never seen anything like it and I don't want to see anything like it again."
