A Monmouthshire family has scooped a cool £61m EuroMillions jackpot, following last Friday’s draw.
The lucky syndicate is set to be unveiled at 10:30am today during a special press conference at the luxurious Celtic Manor resort, in the Usk Valley.
The family jointly claimed Friday’s jackpot, the biggest win of four UK windfalls this year. ??Lottery operator Camelot, said the £61.4m pile could be paid to the syndicate as soon as banks open on Monday morning. ??The colossal win would earn the group around £47,000 per week in interest, almost double the average Welsh annual salary.
A National Lottery spokesman said: "What an amazing win for the UK - the fourth EuroMillions jackpot to be won here this year.
"We’re delighted the ticket-holder has come forward to claim their prize and their ranking of 10th place in the National Lottery rich list.”
The winners matched five main numbers and two lucky stars, which were 01, 21, 26, 40 and 50. The lucky star numbers were 02 and 04.??Five other players scooped a £1m prize and a luxury trip to Australia’s Gold Coast.
