Local mental health charity Mind Monmouthshire staff will be hoping for fine weather this week as they visit local towns, raising awareness about their services and support available.

Weather permitting, staff will be at the following venues on the following days:

Caldicot Market Tuesday, May 11 from 10am – 1pm

Abergavenny Tuesday May 11 at the front of the market 10am – Noon

Chepstow Thursday May 13 on the High Street from 10am – 1pm

Chris Bowie, chief exec said: “We appreciate that it’s been a tough year for everyone, ourselves included, and it’s important now to take some time to reflect that, despite not having a handbook of how we should get through lockdown, we have got through it.

’’Our staff are going to be in the community with information about all the services we provide which can help people to look after their mental well-being.

’’Our services have been operating over Zoom and the telephone, and some of that will continue, but we’re keen that once face to face courses can start, that people know about them and are able to access them.

’’All our courses are free, and people can ring and book a place, they don’t need a referral from any agencies. “
