MARDY AFC recently held their AGM at Abergavenny's Belmont Pub where committee members and officers were re-elected for the forthcoming year.
The club's Chairman for the last 48 years, Malcolm Skinner, reported that although Mardy AFC had many players signed on, each team struggled through injuries and lack of commitment.
Consequently the club incurred some heavy fines last season.
All three football managers stated that the season didn't go as planned and the league position of all teams was disappointing.
On a positive note, Simon Phillips was elected by the committee to take the helm of first team manager for the new season and a special mention was made of Matthew McCarthy for his commitment, supports and efforts towards Mardy AFC.
The election of officers were as follows:

Second Team Manager - Morris Phillips
Third Team Manager - Stuart Powell
Assistant Chairman - Ashley Barber

Welfare Officer - Tom Overton
