Police have charged a man with 21 counts of criminal damage after a town was hit by a wave of graffiti.
The Chronicle reported in November that a wall at Abergavenny bus station had been daubed in coloured paint, leading to a police appeal, while ‘MCC (Monmouthshire County Council) will go bankrupt before I do’ was also daubed across an electrical box in another incident.
Officers revealed last month that a man had been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, and have now confirmed that a 24-year-old has been charged with multiple counts.
A Gwent Police spokesperson said: “We received several reports regarding graffiti in Abergavenny between October and January.
“As part of our enquires, we arrested a 24-year-old Abergavenny man on suspicion of 21 counts of criminal damage.
“He was later charged with these offences.”
