ANIMAL lovers in Monmouthshire, Torfaen and Blaenau Gwent are being urged to attend a charity cat adoption day.

Gwent Cats Protection is holding the adoption day at Panteg Hall, New Inn, Pontypool on Sunday, September 14 at 2pm.

Spokeswoman Loretta Kedward said, "There will be many lovely cats of all ages and all with sad histories, just waiting for a happy new start in life, so please come along

and help them to look forward to a brighter future. Prospective new owners can chat to the fosterers and find out which cat would be the perfect one for them."
