One hundred years ago the Herefordshire Regiment’s First Battalion had just reached Egypt after suffering heavy losses at Gallipoli.

Longtown Historical Society will receive an illustrated talk on its history from Andrew Taylor, OBE on Monday February 1 at 7.30pm in Longtown Village Hall.

Anyone who had relatives in the unit is especially welcome to attend.

On March 7, Professor David Austin’s subject will be ‘Llwyn Celyn: a Medieval House in the Vale of Ewyas’.
