Abergavenny school children will strike tomorrow in support of a movement demanding action on climate change.

Pupils from a raft of local schools will assemble outside the market hall at 10.30am tomorrow, before looping around the town centre in a hour-long protest march.

They will call on local councillors to declare a ‘climate emergency’ in Monmouthshire, and to commit to producing zero emissions by 2030.

An organiser added that the school children would also call on local MP David Davies to outline his commitment to cutting carbon emissions.
