Local fundraisers raised hundreds of pounds with the help of their local community, in aid of cancer patients.

Preparing home-made cakes and coffee, the Llanelly Hill Memorial and Welfare Hall Committee saw locals ‘turn out in force’ last month to show their support for the Macmillan Cancer Support charity by raising an impressive £366.14.

Lawrence Morgan, committee chair, said he was delighted by how much the event had raised.

“The coffee morning group have done a wonderful job organising this event. It is great that our community came together to show their support for such a wonderful cause and raise a fantastic amount for the charity.”
