Llanbedr Primary may be a small school but it certainly has big ambitions.

Late April saw the launch of another new activity - an after-school gardening club - which has already captured the imagination of pupils and community alike.

The children were asked to take in any unwanted gardening items, plants and seeds from home to get things started but they were overwhelmed by the support of local residents.

The children have already planted a variety of vegetables and fruits in the hope they will grow enough to use for cooking, selling and making jam. The tasks involved will also introduce them to many skills which are relevant to the school’s curriculum.
