Formerly ‘Aber Rocks’, the Cragfit Climbing Centre has now moved to Unit 3 on the Rassau Industrial Estate, Ebbw Vale.
“We are very much a local family business and have built on the bouldering facility that we started in Abergavenny,” said Huw Charrington.
“Whilst we have been open to the public since September 2016, we have essentially been operating a ‘half-finished’ centre.
“Our new roped climbing section is finally ready and we will be launching our facility with a free open afternoon on Saturday (February 18).
“The current mayor of Blaenau Gwent, Councillor Barrie Sutton, and the Youth Mayor, Kimberley Davies will ‘cut the tape’ at 1pm to officially open the rope climbing.
“There will be a climbing demonstration and the chance for visitors to book discounted courses on the day. There will also be a bit of a buffet!”
