Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it a strange creature hatched fully formed from an egg forged from sheer kryptonite?

Nope! It’s a Paraglider, and an extremely lucky one at that.

As the picture shows one of Abergavenny’s daredevil fraternity came a little unstuck this afternoon near Waitrose in Llanfoist.

Thankfully no-one was hurt, but the flighty lady in question had a lucky escape. She was left dangling from the lamp-post as emergency services cut her down.
