THE ?A4B award winning Breakthrough Productions will be back on stage at the Borough Theatre next month with its latest comedy - Davy J and the BadBoyz.
Written by Abergavenny Chronicle editor Liz Davies, the play follows the story of a successful 90s boy band and the outrageous scheming of their former agent who in the face of a financial crisis strikes a deal to get them back on stage.
Despite their furious row after her financial mis-dealings were exposed it seems that she could be on the road to success with her plans until former lead singer Davy J arrives on the scene with a secret of his own...
Davy J and the BadBoyz comes hot on the heels of last year’s Jude Garland’s Last Stand, which swept the board at the annual A4B theatre awards with top prizes for its four leading actors.
This year’s show reunites the trio of Chris Phillips, Sarah Philips and Andrew Fowler and sees a Breakthrough debut for Cecilia Bawler, who scored a hit with her performance as the Mother Superior in AAODS Sister Act earlier this year.
Davy J and the BadBoyz can be seen at the Borough Theatre from Friday, November 11-Saturday, November 12 and tickets are available now from the theatre’s box office on 01873 850805 or online by visiting www.boroughtheatreabergavenny.co.uk
