Staff at Maindiff Court Hospital in Abergavenny are holding a party to celebrate the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

They have appealed to readers of the Chronicle to help by donating flags, bunting, hats and ties, balloons, streamers and party poppers.

The day hospital is run for older adults suffering from dementia and illnesses such as depression and the staff want to cheer them up with a party on April 29.

The suggestion for the celebration was made by the patients and for many of them their visit to Maindiff Court is the only chance they have to leave home and have a change of scenery.
