THE planned closure of the Heads of the Valleys Road from 8pm tonight (Thursday) to 6am on Friday has been cancelled as a result of bad weather.

A statement from Costain said the decision to cancel had been taken due to the ’extremely poor weather conditions associated with Storm Abigail’ anticipated for later today.
