Abergavenny Food Festival chief executive Heather Myers is stepping down after four years at the helm, leaving one of the top jobs in food up for grabs.
Since launching in 1999 in response to the BSE crisis, the Food Festival has continued to secure its position as one of the most pioneering food festivals and hub of food conversation in the UK. With over 30,000 people descending on Abergavenny for one weekend in September, it’s a food lover’s paradise.
Melanie Doel, chair of the festival said, “Since Heather joined the Festival in 2012, the event has gone from strength to strength – becoming an event that puts Abergavenny on the world food map.
“With her departure, we are looking for someone new to lead the Festival that step further and to bring to life the exciting and challenging vision the Board has for the event.’
The CEO will run a team of seven consultants to deliver the summer event and Christmas Fair.
