A fallen tree closed a stretch of a major A-road in Powys over the weekend, forcing those making the most of the Saturday sunshine to find an alternative route through the area.
The A479 from Cwmdu to Warn Fach was closed due to a fallen tree for most of the morning. It left many looking for rural diversions away from the busy route, which runs from the A40 near Crickhowell to Talgarth. The road is commonly used to travel between the two towns and to connect to other major roads north and over the English border.
Dyfed-Powys Police had asked motorists to avoid the area and find alternative routes whilst the tree is removed.
