Duck-racing volunteers who raised hundreds for a cancer charity presented their sizeable cheque to their worthy cause recently. ??The charity duck race held at Stanton Farm, Llanfvihangel Crucorney back in June drummed up a total of £750 in donations to Velindre Cancer Centre.

Partakers paid £1 per duck, earning the chance at prizes of £75, £40, and £20.Last place also earned a prize. ??The cheque was presented by Mr Lyndon Williams (Chairman) and Mr Terry Bayliss (Vice President) to Velindre Cancer Centre, represented by Sally Morris who works in the fundraising department, alongside Jane Fullbrook and Gay Stevens who are both clinical nurse specialists at St David’s Hospice.
