THE fifth annual WWTF this year will take place on Saturday, October 1 at the Guild Hall, Brecon, and Sunday October 2 at the Market Hall, Abergavenny.

"The fair this year will be bigger and better than ever," said David Holman, one of the organisers.

" We have support from Awards for all, The Welsh Assembly, Oxfam Cymru, The Welsh Co-op, the Co-operative Society, and Brecon and Abergavenny councils.

"The first day starts with a march from the Market Hall in Brecon led by Martha Musonza Holman dressed in traditional African costume. She will be joined by local schoolchildren dressed as African warriors.

" Also with us will be the 1879 re-enactment group with brass band dressed as British soldiers from the Zulu conflicts.

Leading the march with Martha will be the Mayor of Brecon and Kirsty Williams AM," he said.

The event will open at 10.15 am. and finish at 5pm.

"The next day we move to the Market Hall, Abergavenny where the day will be opened by African dancing and drumming and an introduction by the Mayor of Abergavenny.

"During the day we have plenty of live entertainment, including a Fairtrade song competition, Welsh and Irish folk bands, African drumming, a Welsh/Carribean duo from Cardiff, 7 corners dance group, a church choir singing an African medley, Zimbabwean and Welsh/Carribean food and a dedicated children's zone with face painting and various workshops."

The day will start at 10am and close at 4pm.
