CROSS Ash rugby ace Hallam Amos has been picked in Wales’ 39-man squad for their NatWest Six Nations campaign.

Hallam, a former Head Boy at Monmouth School for Boys, had an impressive autumn series for Wales, scoring tries against Australia and Georgia and setting up touchdowns against New Zealand and South Africa.

The 23-year-old, from Cross Ash, has 15 caps to his name and played a total of 256 minutes – more than any other Wales player in the squad – in the autumn internationals.

Hallam has been named alongsisde uncapped Worcester Warriors wing Josh Adams, Steff Evans and Lions quartet George North, Liam Williams, Alex Cuthbert and Leigh Halfpenny.

Hallam, who injured his ankle in Dragons’ Boxing Day loss to Cardiff Blues, will link up with the Wales squad at the National Centre of Excellence on Monday.

Wales begin their Six Nations Championship against Scotland in Cardiff on Saturday, February 3 (2.15pm kick off) and face reigning champions England at Twickenham seven days later (4.45pm).

Wales travel to Dublin to play Ireland on Saturday, February 24 (2.15pm) before hosting Italy on Sunday, March 11 (3pm).

Wales round off their campaign at home to France on Saturday, March 17 (5pm).
