The Crickhowell Literary Festival has launched its new ‘Friends’ scheme.
The organisers welcomed visitors at Crickhowell Library who wished to learn more about the benefits of joining the scheme. Festival administrators were on hand to help people sign up on the day while the Library Friends provided refreshments.
Local crime author Matt Johnson also supported the event with signings of his recent book Wicked Game, which has been long-listed by the Crime Writers Association for the John Creasey New Blood Dagger Award. Matt will also be making an appearance at the Festival in October.
The Literary Festival will run for its second year from October 1 - 9, following the success of its inaugural run in 2015. The aim of the festival is to encourage a love of reading and literature, as well as promote local authors and support local businesses. During the events of the festival, visitors are also urged to explore the surrounding areas and discover the tourist opportunities of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
The Friends of Crickhowell Literary Festival can enjoy priority bookings, regular updates and an invitation to the Festival Launch Party amongst other privileges. For more information and membership applications visit cricklitfest.co.uk.
