Costain - the company behind the duelling of the A465 has apologies for the cancellation of the road’s planned weekend closure.

"Regrettably we had to cancel this weekend closure scheduled for 6am on Saturday to 6am on Monda due to safety and environmental concerns following the recent inclement weather.

"We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience we have caused," said a company spokesman
