GWENT County Division One club Blaenavon Blues AFC are seeking to appoint a new first team manager and assistant coach for the new 2009/10 season.

Last season's manager Chris Mason stood down as player/manager at the end of last season to concentrate on his efforts as a player.

The club are looking for a management team that has the drive, commitment and ambition to take Blaenavon Blues to the next level and gain promotion into the Welsh League.

The ideal candidate should have experience of management or playing at Gwent County level or above, but this is not essential.

The successful candidate will have the full backing of the hard working committee and he will be in sole charge of all on field footballing matters.

Next season will be an historical one for Blaenavon Blues AFC, as it's their last at the Co-op Field, which they will be vacating after 62 years, before moving into their new home at the Memorial Ground (Former Harlequins Pitch) in time for the 2010-11 season.

This is an exciting time for Blaenavon Blues and the move will provide first class playing and training facilities for the whole club.

The club are therefore seeking applications from suitable candidates who feel that they can genuinely take the club forward and be part of what they hope will be a new and successful era in the club's history.

The club are extremely keen to appoint a new manager and assist coach in readiness for pre-season training which will start early in July.

Therefore, all applications or enquiries regarding the post should be received on or before June 30.
