A 23 year old man from Abergavenny has been handed a Criminal Behaviour Order (CRIMBO) for his anti-social behaviour.

Shane Johns was handed the two year order on December 3 after persistently punching windows through when drunk and his violent and aggressive behaviour in Abergavenny Town Centre.

The orders give authorities another tool to deal with individuals who may behave in an anti-social way or be engaged in criminal activity.

The order replaces the old Criminal Anti-Social behaviour Order (CRASBO). The order given to Shane Johns has the following conditions: not to be drunk in any public place, not to enter any on-licensed premises in Abergavenny and not to enter the Abergavenny Town Centre (High Street, Frogmore Street, Nevill Street, Lewis Lane, Flannel Street, Cross Street, St John's Square, St Johns Street, St Johns Lane, Lion Street, Market Street, King Street, Tudor Street, Bus Station, during the hours of 8pm and 8am.

PC Shane Prosser from Abergavenny Neighbourhood Team aid, "We are committed to making Abergavenny a safer place and enforcing this order is a part of that.

"Anyone who sees Shane Johns breaching this order by entering the town centre between the hours of 8pm and 8am or harassing or causing distress to anyone can contact us straight away on 101 or in an emergency by dialling 999. Thanks to members of the public for their support."
