Monmouth AM Nick Ramsay was ‘dismayed’ to learn that the Welsh Government has no immediate plans to change or improve the A40/ Old Monmouth Road junction at Raglan.
Having frequently campaigned for the junction to be made safer, Mr Ramsay said, “In my view this is a very dangerous junction, which has been the scene of a number of serious accidents over the years. Local people say they have witnessed many near misses at this interchange.
“I am disappointed that the last Welsh Government review failed to recommend any improvements.
“I will be urging officials to reassess the junction as part of the next formal review.”
