Young people in Abergavenny are being warned about the consequences of underage drinking after a group were caught by police with several cans of lager and cider.
Officers caught the individuals with alcohol, which was seized, on Saturday evening in Bailey Park as part of routine patrols in the area. They say they will continue to monitor the park and other areas across the town to ensure public spaces remain safe and enjoyable for everyone.
“Whilst out on patrols in Abergavenny this evening, officers located a number of underage youths in possession of alcohol near Bailey Park,” a spokesperson for Gwent Police said.
“The alcohol was seized and officers reminded the youths of the risks and consequences associated with underage drinking.”
