ABERGAVENNY Ladies Business Association (ALBA) is holding its first Networking Breakfast and Business Exhibition on Friday, October 14 at the Angel Hotel with their aim of showcasing local businesses.
Set up two years ago by Val Stowell, tax manager at UHY Peacheys, ALBA is a group of successful friendly professionals and business owners who meet once a month to share knowledge and useful information, offer referrals, swap ideas and provide friendly support.
Val said, " We originally formed to have lunch once a month to get to know each other so we could support and promote each others businesses.
"The emphasis is on networking locally as we felt that none of the larger networking groups in the area really cover Abergavenny and we want to make business people in the surrounding areas aware that Abergavenny does have a thriving business community."
Since ALBA was formed the membership has continued to grow and currently has approximately 30 members.
ALBA meets on the first Thursday of the month in the Coach House behind the Kings Head, where a buffet lunch is provided and members enjoy an enlightening talk often from a speaker drawn from within the group.
