Councillor Maureen Powell of Abergavenny has been selected to serve as Chairman of Monmouthshire County Council, for the second time.

Councillor Powell last served as Chairman in 2012/13 and has also been Mayor of Abergavenny

Canon Mark Soady of St Mary’s Priory Church in Abergavenny will service at the chairman’s chaplain - the third time Canon Soady has served in the role since moving to the area in 2012.
