ABERGAVENNY squash club has got off to a flying start in the second half of the season with both the 'A' and 'B' teams sitting pretty on top of their respective leagues.

The 'A' team has recently been promoted into the South Wales Premier 'B' division and have won three out of their four matches.

The team comprising of Lewys Hurst, Steve Williams, Chris Hill, Neil Main and Gareth Hughes-Jones are all putting in excellent performances in what is their first season in the premier league for quite a few years.

The 'B' team which comprises of Gary Lawrence, Chris Phelps, Alex Hillman, Ellis Lawrence and Tim Woodier are also giving excellent performances and are currently top of Gwent division one - a division which they were also recently promoted to.

The squash club runs on a Monday night from 7pm and on a Saturday morning from 9.45am at the Abergavenny Leisure Centre. Junior sessions for ages four and over are held every Friday from 5.30pm onwards.
