An Abergavenny-based solicitor has been appointed by the Alzheimer’s Society as the charity’s Ambassador in Gwent.

Iain Cameron, who works at Star Legal, specialises in elderly and vulnerable client work, tax and estate planning and is a member of Solicitors for the Elderly and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

“My work often brings me into contact with clients and their families affected by dementia,” he said. “I can assist with legal matters and applications, while the Society provides much-needed advice and practical support.

“Last year I became a Dementia Friends Champion for them, running dementia awareness courses for local businesses and community groups.

“In January I was asked to also take on this role, representing the charity at fundraising events and delivering talks - which I was delighted to do.”
